So let's take a look at Windows Vista Ultimate. As it's name suggests this is the "all-singing, all-dancing" version of the new operating system.
The much discussed Aero interface fronts a truly comprehensive package here, with an array of business and productivity applications alongside the full range of home entertainment features.
Business elements originating in Vista Business Edition include centralized management tools, business networking, and advanced system backup features.
Meanwhile all areas of digital entertainment are available courtesy of all of the features found in Windows Vista Home Premium, including Windows Media Center, Windows Movie Maker with high-definition support, and Windows DVD Maker.
In a nutshell Windows Vista Ultimate combines the feature sets of the Home Premium and Business editions to give you the best of everything, so if you like to have all the whistles and bells and money is not a consideration you really don't have a decision to make; this is the one.
Having said, if your purchase is not urgent you might want to wait for the release of service pack 1, due about Jan 2008.
